Essential Duties and Responsibilities

+ Use an L-sealer to shrink wrap shelf packages of Vial product produced on the designated lines.

+ Label, case, and stack product using the Packaging Specification as instruction.

+ Distribute the appropriate labels to the Vial Packers/case areas using the method that is outlined in the Device Labeling procedure.

+ Count and record the amount of product produced on each line.

+ Read the production schedule to determine product type and order quantity.

+ Monitor quantity of product to determine when orders are completed.

+ Notify supervisors, mechanics, operators, and packers when orders are near completion.

+ Stretch wrap, label/tag, and move pallets of finished product to the Finished Goods Drop Area.

+ Monitor the amount of packaging materials to ensure that the necessary amount is available.

+ Request packaging materials by using the materials identification number or code.

+ Deliver the appropriate amount of packaging materials to the packaging stations.

+ Maintain clean and safe work areas.

+ Perform all other duties that are assigned by the supervisor and are outlined in the Vial Shrink Operator procedure.

+ Observe all guidelines outlined in the Vial Workmanship Standards


+ Must be able to stand, bend, flex, push, and pull for prolonged periods.

+ Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.

+ Good math skills.

+ Good written and verbal communication skills.

+ Ability read and follow written work instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Six months experience as a Vial Packer.
