# **Description**

This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

# **Tasks**

Set up equipment in preparation for startup, and responsible for packing patties and keeping scraps cleaned off the line, while also being able to adhere to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies. Pack patties within department specifications. Recognize product that may not meet standards. Slide packed patties onto conveyor line. Keep fresh scrap patties off the line. Keep patties lines even and take doubles off the line. Monitor production area for trash and food debris on floor. Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent. Uphold principles of SQF 2000. Ability to communicate effectively with company employees and all levels of management. Must have basic math skills. Familiarity with the safe operation of production line conveyor equipment. Must be able to lift carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work on and around machinery and chemicals. Must be able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting. Must be able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.

Must have at least 3 cumulative months previous manufacturing experience. Only applicants from the following counties will be considered for hire Dyer, Gibson, Lake, Crockett, Obion, Lauderdale, Weakley, Pemiscot and Haywood.
