**Position Description**



The Account Manager is responsible for achieving annual goals by managing and growing a book of small segment customers in a designated territory. The AM will build direct relationships with customers and work to maximize revenue and gross profit, solve customer issues, propose value added services and leverage internal teams to provide positive customer experience.





**Key Responsibilities**





+ Successfully manage and grow an assigned list of customers within a designated territory

+ Maintains a profitable book of business by working proactively with other functional areas of MSH - Credit/Collections, Master Data, Customer Care, and Onmark Member Services teams

+ Handle incoming customer requests and ensure that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly

+ Develop a knowledge base of the marketplace, environment, physician practice dynamics and concerns

+ Participation in training and educational key learning initiatives








**Minimum Requirements**

Entry level sales experience


**Critical Skills**




+ 2 years sales and/or account management experience preferably in the healthcare setting, and or within the pharmaceutical/biotech, healthcare distribution space

+ 2 years expreince retaining and growing business in designated markets

+ Previous success in achieving sales goals

+ Documented success meeting call metrics

+ Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel

+ Team player with strong interpersonal and resource management skills




**Additional Knowledge & Skills**




+ Consultative selling experience to the specialty physician market highly preferred

+ Experience in and demonstrated understanding of healthcare and distribution, GPO, industry trends, EHRs, inventory management technologies, billing and coding, private and public reimbursement models and payer contracting highly desire

+ Experience with pharmaceutical products and buy-and-bill model

+ Salesforce.com or CRM software experience




**Education**

4 year degree (or currently in pursuit of a degree) preferably in Sales or Business
